Alpha 1.1.3


In this update, I fixed many bugs that plagued the opponent's AI. I am expecting the rate of updates to decline after this. The next update will be semi-major update 1.2 if there are no game-breaking bugs with this one and my non-Magical Frontier-related workload increases.

In 1.2, I will continue my work by tweaking the opponent's AI, improving its logic as well as enabling variable AI difficulty. I am planning to rebalance the second starting bonus. I also plan to improve menu navigation, especially related to stage selection. The next update will also add even more stage customization options. But because of the ambitious update goals and real-world obligations, I expect the next update to take 1 month. 

After that, only card redesign for more readable cards and drag and drop will remain for the end of Alpha 1. After that, I will start once again adding new statuses, mechanics, cards, and content.

Minor Changes

  • Added debug options for faster development. These options are not accessible without modifying the game’s code.
  • Minor AI tweaks.
  • Some minor code cleanups.

Fixes

  • AI was able to activate multiple warcaster for the same spell.
  • AI was stopping upgrading buildings when it had 8 buildings in its field.
  • AI was under prioritizing win conditions when it was about to win.
  • AI was using the taskmaster's active ability when it had no legal targets, crushing itself.
  • AI was failing to find legal moves, sometimes getting stuck.
  • Fixed typo in changelog.
